DISTRICT COMMUNITY NURSES

The District Nurses attached to this practice have an office at the Medical Centre and take care of the elderly and terminally ill who are confined to their home but need nursing care. The District Nurses work together on a rotational basis to provide comprehensive cover seven days per week.

District Nurse Help Line

A Telephone Help Line has recently been introduced by the District Nurses to give patients help, guidance and information about facilities, which are available within the community.

Short Term Loan Service

The practice has various items of equipment, including a wheelchair, commode and Orthopaedic mattress for loan on a short-term basis, for patients who have been discharged from hospital.
