Kingsfold Medical Centre is situated in Penwortham, Preston, Lancashire and is an active member of the Ribblebank Locality Group which forms part of the Central lancashire Primary Care Trust.

The practice is currently run by Doctor Gautam Chikhalikar with Doctor Maureen Costa Fernandas as a retained GP for three hours every Thursday and Friday mornings. Our Practice Manager is Mrs Wendy Bate. We have three practice nurses and six reception/administrative staff, in addition to a full primary health care team.

Zero Tolerance Policy

the practice follows the Central lancashire PCT Zero Tolerance Policy and as such is committed to ensuring as far as is reasonably practicable, mechanisms are in place to protect its employees, local contractors and their staff against violent incidents. (A copy of this policy is available in the surgery and can be viewed on request).

We operate a practice based Complaints Procedure. If you need any help, advice or have any concerns about the day to day administration/staff working within the Medical Centre please contact the Practice Manager in the first instance. Although every effort will be made to deal with your request on the same day, on occasions, it may be necessary for you to book an appointment.

If you would prefer to obtain independent advice and support you can contact the Patients Advice and Liaison Service (P.A.L.S.) Telephone 0800 032 24 24. The PALS office is based at Central lancashire PCT, Jubilee House, Centurion Way,Leyland, PR26 6TR

Confidentiality Policy

We provide a confidential service to all patients regardless of age. This means, we do not tell anyone about your visit unless you ask us to do so, including patients under 16 years. The doctors and staff working in the medical centre have an unbiased and open minded approach to sexual orientation.

HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR

However, you may not always be able to see the doctor of your choice. If you need a doctor Telephone 01772 746492 after 8.00 a.m. for a morning appointment, and, after mid-day for an afternoon appointment.

In order to start the surgery, the first few appointments can be pre-booked but on a strict “first come, first served” basis. THERE ARE TWO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE AT EVERY CLINIC WHICH CAN BE BOOKED VIA THE INTERNET --- TO MAKE USE OF THIS FACILITY PLEASE ASK OUR RECEPTION STAFF TO PROVIDE YOU WITH A PIN NUMBER (EACH MEMBER OF YOUR FAMILY WILL REQUIRE THEIR OWN PIN NUMBER)
